Armoured warfare in the Vietnam War

he armed conflicts that raged in South-east Asia between 1945 and 1975 included a far greater armoured fighting vehicle (AFV) presence thah previously thought. The French Expeditionary Force that fought in Indochina from 1945 was largely equipped with American vehicles. These included the M5 Stuart, the M4 Sherman, and the M24 Chaffee. The American military build-up tn the 1960s saw M41 Walker Bulldogs and M48A3 Patton medium tanks deployed to South Vietnam. Along with the tanks came the American M113 armoured personnel carrier.
