The book in its second edition was revised, updated and improved, using better examples and working models, and in this, the third edition, further new material has been included bringing the book thoroughly abreast of current thought.

The additional material includes such matters as zero-base budgeting, risk measurement in capital expenditure projects, break-even analysis and financing alternatives, leveraged leasing and patterns in capital structures, and two new chapters: Dividend Policy, Internal Financing and the Market; and Financial and Operating Leverage.
